JM Karma

We are so busy with our insane life right now that I have not stopped running around until this morning at 10 am. That is when the John Mayer tickets for the July Boston show went on sale. As you know last week we scored 5th row center for another JM concert. The one we bought tickets for last week will be in the city we will be moving to this summer. Today we got tickets for the Boston show which is two weeks before the other concert. Yes, we are timing a cross country move for between the two John Mayer concerts. Yeah, I'd say we're fans. Anyway, this morning we were instantly shut out of the fan club ticket purchases and nearly freaked out. After 15 mintues of frantic clicking, we suddenly got through and got 6th row floor seats. They are not center but are damn good seats. I think we have some JM Karma going on here. We've never gotten such good seats. When L was a baby all she wanted to listen to in the car was JM's Room for Squares album. It was the craziest thing. She whined when I put on kids music and gleefully danced when we put on JM. When she was about 20 months we noticed she knew nearly all the words to "Back to You" and yet she hadn't mastered her ABC's. Hello? Baby fan in the making! So when she was 2.5 I got to go to a JM sound check and I brought her. It was wild. She had a T-shirt I made for her with all sorts of things on it saying that she "loved John". That is what we call him here at hour house, just "John". I can still hear her baby voice calling from the back seat saying "More John?". So so so cute!

YIKES!!!

I just popped over to my shopping blog and clicked on one of my links called "Cool Kids Rooms" which was a site with crafty people contributing ideas on how to decorate kids rooms. Much to my horror the site it linked me to was porn. It was hard core porn. I don't offend all that easily and I nearly fainted at the pictures that loaded. So for any of you who happened to go through the links off my "Posh Pickles" blog and found more than you bargained for, I truely apologize. Needless to say, the link has been removed.

Hi Hi Hi

Hi friends. Sorry I have been MIA both here and on your blogs. We are gettting the house ready to go on the market and between that, our ski weekends, and SJ's travel I have barely had a moment to put my rear-end on the couch. Things are good though and this family does "hectic" very well so we'll get through it all.

I found a preschool for B which is terribly exciting as I was starting to panic. It seems that all the preschools there accept applications during January and early February and by 2/15 they are all full for the following year. I was caught with my pants down on that one. Our preschools here have rolling admissions so I was not prepared for such early deadlines. Anyway, I had no fewer than 3 people recommend the same preschool as being one of the top in the area and believe it or not, the day before I called they had someone drop out of their Fours class. I left a message saying I was calling about next year and said that I was aware they were probably full but thought I would check anyway. Less than 20 minutes later I got a call back from them saying that a spot just became available should I want it. My reply was YES YES YES! I sent the deposit and checked in with them yesterday to make sure he is all set. I spoke with the loveliest woman who said we are ready to go. She also mentioned that there is another family moving down from the NE who will have a son in the 3's program there but also has a child going to the same school as L. Nice to know of another family who is making such a big transition whose kids will be in the same schools as my kids.

Plus we just scored some awesome seats to a John Mayer concert! Yes we are in the fan club ;) We got 5th row dead center. Ha! I am so excited.

Ok running low on battery...

4

My little boy turned 4 today and all he wanted was a set of golf clubs. These are the cutest things I have ever seen. He is so excited. Of course living in in the North East, we have to wait a little while before we can get out and use the clubs. Today, like the day he was born, we had lovely snow showers. My little boy is getting so big.
