That time of the season...

We are so lucky to be able to head to Vermont every weekend during the winter to ski our little butts off. Both kids started skiing at the age of 2 so by now they can ski anything on the mountain. Some days they even want to start the day with a double black diamond. Sorry to brag, but this mom is proud of her little ski bunnies.

Here are SweetPea and daddy playing one afternoon through a picture window at the house. Dad was out walking the dog and SweetPea was getting ready to join him.

As much as I love ski season, and the snow this season has been particularly good, I am always ready but not ready for the season to end. March is my favorite month to ski with the soft snow under edge and sun on my face. But this March came in like a lion and isn't even going to get to go out like a lamb before it goes down in a toddler-like weepy tantrum. Two weeks ago we got 2-feet of snow in less than 48 hours. Since then, the mercury has risen too far on the thermometer and rain has set in. All the while, like every month of March that has come before, my to-do list is growing in the absence of weekends at home to cross things off. So Mother Nature, if you can't send snow, please at least give me a little sunshine or maybe I'll have to start staying home to get to that list!
