I had an entirely different post in mind for today. I will have to save it for another time as a sad thing happened today. Barbaro the horse was put down today due to a complication with an infection. My heart broke as I watched that fateful race when he injured his leg and I have been rooting for him ever since. I am thankful great lengths were taken to try to save his life and am sad that it just could not work out for him.

I heard it this morning on the Today Show and my heart just broke. What an amazing animal he was.
This is really sad- having grown up a stones throw from Saratoga Springs I have a huge heart for race horses......spent many summers up there!
Meg
